Groton Forest Trail Run

Nestled in the heart of Central Vermont, the Groton Forest Trail Run returns this September as an eagerly anticipated outing for trail runners and nature enthusiasts. Organized by Onion River Outdoors, a local gear shop and community events hub based in Montpelier, the race celebrates its rich history of camaraderie and competitive spirit.
Runners can choose between two challenging courses: a 25k route that winds through dense forest trails and an invigorating 12k loop. Both options offer breathtaking views and rugged terrain, ensuring participants experience the best of Vermont’s natural beauty while testing their endurance against varied elevations and technical sections.
The event is renowned for its supportive community atmosphere, where runners cheer each other on throughout the race. It's a day filled with shared passion for trail running and appreciation for the serene wilderness that surrounds Groton Forest.
