The Grizzly100 Series Finals, set for November 1st and 2nd in Big Bear, California, promises an exhilarating challenge for endurance runners. The race series culminates with four distinct distances: 100k (7 laps), 75k (5 laps), 50k (3 laps), and a shorter 30k (1 lap). Participants can expect to navigate through scenic trails that showcase the natural beauty of Big Bear, from dense forests to open meadows.
On November 1st, runners will begin their journey by checking in at Visit Big Bear between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. This day sets the stage for a well-rested start on race day. On November 2nd, athletes should arrive early as check-in opens from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM at the Start/Finish area located at Big Bear High School.
The course is known for its varied terrain and challenging yet rewarding landscapes. Runners will traverse through diverse ecosystems, offering a mix of technical trails and wide paths that provide stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The event atmosphere is characterized by camaraderie among participants, with ample opportunities to enjoy the natural surroundings during breaks.
Race day starts at 8:00 AM for the 100k route, followed closely by the 75k runners at 8:25 AM, then the 50k competitors at 8:50 AM. The final wave of participants will set off on the 30k course at 9:45 AM.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early for a full day of racing excitement and scenic beauty that defines this unique race series finale. Whether you're a seasoned ultra-runner or an experienced trail enthusiast, Grizzly100 Series Finals offers a memorable experience in one of California's most picturesque locations.
