About the Event

Welcome to the 25th Annual Greensboro Gobbler! The biggest race of the year in Greensboro, North Carolina. Early registration is now open with the biggest savings we've ever offered.

All runners will receive a long-sleeve unisex t-shirt, including the 1-mile fun run/walk, and massive race medals will be given to all 5K runners, as well as awards to all top finishers in each age group!

We're excited to continue this cherished community tradition at Center City Park in downtown Greensboro on Thanksgiving morning and can't wait to see you there!

This event includes the popular 1-mile kid-friendly fun run/walk that is open to all runners and walkers.

Custom Event Swag
All runners, including 5K runners and 1-mile fun run/walk will receive a custom event long-sleeve shirt. All 5K runners will also receive a race medal. The shirt guarantee deadline is 10/20/2025.

Additional shirts and medals will be available for purchase at bib pick up and on race day for $15 for a shirt & medal combo.

There will be an awards ceremony immediately following the race.

The race is located at Center City Park in Greensboro, NC. Center City Park, located in the heart of downtown Greensboro, fills the block between North Elm and North Davie Streets and is bordered on the south by West Friendly Avenue and on the north by the Renaissance Tower office building. The Park’s main entrance is at 200 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401

We are very excited to not only raise money for Greensboro Urban Ministries, but we are also asking for your food donations. Please bring food donations to packet pickup. We will have collection boxes waiting to be filled.

About Greensboro

Greensboro is a city of almost 300,000 people (2020) in North Carolina. It is named after Nathanael Greene, a Patriot general who fought a battle here during the Revolutionary War. It's nicknamed the "Gate City" for its historical role as a transportation hub for the Piedmont. The famous author William Sydney Porter, better known as O. Henry, was born here. It can be sleepy and genteel but is enjoying a newfound reputation as a great place for young people. Downtown especially is experiencing a surfeit of bars, music venues and restaurants. Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point are the three cities that make up the Piedmont Triad, halfway between Raleigh and Charlotte.
