Green India KIDZ-Athon Oct 2026

Green India KIDZ-Athon, organized by Kalam Event Management and set for October 11th, 2026 at SDAT Nehru Park in Chetpet, Chennai, is an exciting race that caters to young athletes across various age groups. The event offers a range of distances designed to challenge participants while ensuring they have fun.
The youngest competitors, from LKG and UKG, will run a short 75-meter dash starting at 7:30 AM. First standard students also tackle the same distance but begin their race slightly earlier at 7:00 AM. As children progress through school, so does the challenge; second standard participants face a longer 100-meter sprint at 7:00 AM.
For third and fourth standards, distances increase to 200 meters for those in third grade beginning at 6:30 AM, followed by a more demanding 400-meter race for fourth graders starting at the same time. Fifth and sixth standard students will take on an even greater challenge with a 500-meter run kicking off at 6:15 AM, while seventh and eighth standards are set to conquer an 800-meter course also beginning at 6:15 AM.
The event doesn't stop there; it welcomes older participants in the Open Category who will race over a full kilometer starting at 8:30 AM. Additionally, enthusiasts can participate in a two-kilometer walkathon during the same time slot for those looking to enjoy a longer journey through SDAT Nehru Park.
Registration and bib collection take place on October 10th from noon until 7:30 PM at Decathlon's Nolambur store. Participants are encouraged to arrive half an hour before their race start times, ready with both their school ID and proof of booking for a smooth registration process.
All competitors will receive a finisher medal, trophy, participation certificate, T-shirt, bib number, and refreshments upon completion of the event. Top five winners in each category also earn additional recognition through momentoes and certificates celebrating their achievements.
The Green India KIDZ-Athon promises to be an invigorating day filled with spirited competition, camaraderie among young athletes, and a celebration of fitness and fun at SDAT Nehru Park.
