Great Turkey Chase 5K

8th annual Great Turkey Chase to benefit ECHOS in Elizabethtown. A portion of registration fees and 100% of on line donations will benefit ECHOS. Go to https://www.echoslancaster.org to connect with ECHOS. 

5K course starting and ending at Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ (EBIC) 996 E High St, Elizabethtown, PA.  

Kids run:  No event fee. Sign up on line! Two events: Approximate 1/4 mile course that can be run one, two, three or four times and a shorter run through blocked off parking lot. Kids run sponsored by Tatted Toy Guys and LIV-Etown, Elizabethtown!! Option for t-shirt purchase. 

5K: 5K loop runs through the streets of Elizabethtown. 

Family friendly race!  Making family memories! Thanksgiving traditions!

Come out on Thanksgiving morning to exercise before your Thanksgiving feast.  "Catch" a stuffed turkey and receive a gift card that can be used to purchase a turkey.  

T-shirts to all 5K participants signed up by November 5th.  Finisher's medal to all 5K finishers.  

Age group awards by 10 year age groups and overall finisher awards-Thanksgiving style!

Registration online up until 4:00 on 11/26/2025. In person day of registration available starting at 6:45 on November 27th at EBIC

PARKING INFORMATION: DO NOT PARK IN BLOCKED OFF AREA OF THE PARKING LOT. This area will be used for the kids run. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASSY AREAS AT THE CHURCH. Limited parking is available at the EBIC parking lot. Overflow parking will be needed and is available at Bear Creek School, East High Elementary School, small lot at the Fair Grounds by outbuildings, and street parking. (See parking map below)

Although we love our furry friends, dogs are not allowed on the race course for safety reasons.

Unfortunately, the Great Turkey Chase does not offer refunds under any circumstances due to pre race costs affiliated with each registration.

1. 2025 Great Turkey Chase Family Gathering Contest

Award for the biggest family gathering at the Great Turkey Chase

Entry forms will be available at the ECHOS table in the registration area.

Contest rules:

·“Family member” equates to whomever you consider to be part of your family!

·Each family member must be registered for either of our two races (5K or the Kids Fun Run)

·Each family gathering will designate a family captain.

·The winners will be the group with the most qualifying members listed.

·The deadline to place your entry form into the official entry folder at the ECHOS table is 8:15 am on race day.

·Winners will be announced at 9:10 am just prior to the start of the kids run. Someone from the family group must be present to claim prize.

·If needed, a tie in the number of family participants will be decided by a random drawing.

·The prize is a family gift pack worth ~$100.

2. 2025 Great Turkey Chase Costume Contest for 5K participants

Awards for the individuals and groups showing the most Thanksgiving Day Spirit!

Contest rules:

·Entrants must be participants in the 2025 Great Turkey Chase 5K.

·Bib numbers of all in the photo must be visible for qualification. 

·Submit photo entries under the “2025 Great Turkey Chase Photo Contest” post on the Great Turkey Chase Facebook page between 6:30 am and 12:00 noon on November 27, 2025.

·Costumes will be judged based on creativity, fun and holiday spirit. 

·First, second and third place winners will be awarded gift cards

·Prizes will be mailed to the winners.

·Winners will be announced on the Great Turkey Chase Facebook page by December 1, 2025.
