About the Event
Triathletes and duathletes are set for an unforgettable weekend at Gravel Worlds in Lincoln, Nebraska. With over 15 years of expertise hosting gravel events, the organizers are thrilled to introduce Triathlon and Duathlon categories this year. The event features two distances for both triathlons and duathlons, each offering a unique challenge on scenic routes around Lincoln. For those opting for the sprint distance in triathlon, they will start with a 750-meter swim followed by an approximate 17-mile bike ride and finish with a 5-kilometer run. The intermediate distance extends to a more demanding experience: swimmers cover 1.5 kilometers before tackling a roughly 28-mile bike course and concluding with a 10K run. Duathletes can choose between sprint or intermediate distances, both consisting of two runs separated by a bike ride. Sprint duathletes will begin with a mile-long jog, transition to an approximately 13-mile bike segment, and finish with a 5-kilometer run. The intermediate option ups the ante: participants start with a two-mile run, switch to a longer 28-mile bike course, and conclude with a challenging 10K. Participation in these events comes with added prestige—USA Triathlon will recognize top performers by awarding podium finishes for each category. Winners are honored as USATri Gravel National Champions, adding extra allure to the competition. The excitement doesn’t stop at race day; participants and spectators alike can look forward to a full week of activities leading up to the event.
