DECU 5K Glow Run for Empowerment Opportunity Center

Glow Up for Empowerment: The 2027 DECU 5K Glow Run Presented by Fleet Feet of Decatur invites runners and walkers to light up Forsyth Park with vibrant glow gear on a scenic night run. This event, dedicated to supporting the Empowerment Opportunity Center, promises an unforgettable experience under the stars.
Participants can pick up their race packets at two convenient locations: Wednesday from 9am-4pm at the Decatur Earthmover Credit Union Dividend Location (2600 Dividend Dr.), or Thursday evening from 6:00-7:30pm in Forsyth Park.
The illuminated course winds through Forsyth Park, primarily along a well-lit bike path that is clearly marked with vibrant signs and volunteers to guide runners throughout the route. The race features glow-in-the-dark items for all participants who register by May 31st to ensure they receive their t-shirts and gear.
Post-race festivities include complimentary food and drinks at the finish line, where runners can socialize while enjoying refreshments under the night sky.
Dress up in your most dazzling glow attire for a chance to win prizes in the Brightest Glow contest. The top male and female winners across all age categories will be awarded with special medals.
