Glow the Distance 5k

Glow Run Sponsored by the GWU Department of Physician Assistant Studies.

Light up the night at Gardner-Webb! Join us for an after-dark 5K through campus filled with glow stations, music, and family-friendly fun.

What to Expect

• Costumes + glow gear encouraged (examples include headbands, socks, jewelry). Feel free to wear a light-colored shirt, as we will provide "Glow-In-The-Dark" spray paint. We’ll have limited glow items (washable tattoos, bracelets, glasses, etc) at check-in; bring your own for extra shine.
• Post-race activities for kids and families on the lawn following the 5K.

Registration & Pricing

• General Registration: $25 (through race evening)
• Special Rates:
  • $20 – Gardner-Webb faculty & staff
  • $15 – All students
  • $12 – T-shirt only

T-shirt guarantee: Register by October 31 to guarantee your shirt and size.

Race Day Schedule (Saturday, November 15)

• Packet Pickup / On-site Registration: 5:30–6:20 p.m.
  Race Start: 6:30 p.m.
  Free Kids Glow Dash: immediately after the 5K (ages 10 & under)

• Top 3 Overall Male/Female
• Top award in each age group: 10 & under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60+
• Best Overall Glow Costume

Safety Notes

Night course: watch footing, stay visible, and follow volunteer instructions. Reflective wear and headlamps are recommended.
