Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Tough Cookie

Join us for the sweetest race in the Roanoke Valley! This annual event supports Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline and we are excited to challenge participants again on the cross-country course at Greenfield Recreation Park in Botetourt County. In-person and virtual race options available PLUS kids fun run!

Date: Saturday, March 21, 2026 (rain, snow or shine; no refunds)

9:00 AM = 1-mile Fun Run
9:45 AM = 5K
Awards immediately after race

Who: open to all Girl Scouts (girls & adults), family members, tag-alongs, this race is open to the public

Registration Opens: 12/01/2025
Registration Closes: 03/11/2026 for virtual participants and 03/19/2025 for 5K and Fun Run participants

Race Prices: 
5K (timed): $50
Includes a chipped bib, long sleeve t-shirt (adult size) or short sleeve t-shirt (youth size), 5K participation medal, cinch sac, race patch, and 1 box of Girl Scout Cookies.

1-mile Fun Run: $40
Includes unchipped race bib, long-sleeve t-shirt (adult size) or short-sleeve t-shirt (youth size), 1-mile participation medal, cinch sac, race patch, and 1 box of Girl Scout Cookies.

Virtual - In-person packet pick-up: $50

(MUST acquire packet at prior pick-up location.)

Other Information:

T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after date 02/19/2026.
5K participation medals are only guaranteed to the first 250 registrants.
Fun Run medals are only guaranteed to the first 100 registrants.
Patches and cinch sacs are only guaranteed to the first 300 registrants.
No on-site registration on race day.
Medals awarded to the Top 3 finishers in each age division (5K in-person participants only).
The Top 3 overall 5K in-person finishers will also receive a case of their favorite Girl Scout Cookies.
