Girl Scouts of Nassau County Thin Mint Sprint 5K Race & 1 Mile Family 2026

Join the Girl Scouts of Nassau County for their beloved Thin Mint Sprint 5K and Family Fun Walk on September 20, 2026. This third annual event promises scenic views along Jones Beach while raising funds to support local scouting initiatives. Participants will enjoy a delightful course that showcases the beauty of Long Island's coastline.
The race day begins with an energizing start at 8:30 AM for the 5K run and concludes with a family-friendly one-mile walk kicking off at 10:00 AM. Both events offer runners and walkers alike the opportunity to challenge themselves while contributing to a meaningful cause. Upon crossing the finish line, all participants will be greeted by an enticing reward of Thin Mint cookies—a sweet incentive that has become synonymous with this event.
The race is held rain or shine at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, NY, where parking fees apply for those who choose Field 1. Whether you're a seasoned runner or looking to enjoy the outdoors as a family unit, there's something here for everyone to appreciate and celebrate.
