About the Event

On October 4, 2026, GiGi's Playhouse Long Island invites you to join their 3rd Annual 5K Run & 321 Dash presented by Cirigliano Agency and CoHo Coffee House. This year’s event takes on a superhero theme, encouraging participants to come dressed as their favorite superheroes or supervillains, or even create their own unique character.
The day kicks off at Shorefront Park in Patchogue, NY, where runners will gather for the 5K race starting promptly at 9 AM, followed by the one-mile walk that begins shortly after. The event promises to be a celebration of fitness and community spirit, with families and friends coming together to support individuals with Down syndrome.
GiGi's Playhouse Long Island is dedicated to changing the way the world views Down syndrome through free educational programs, therapeutic-based services, and career development opportunities for those affected by Down syndrome and their communities. This event aims not only to raise awareness but also to foster a sense of acceptance and inclusion within families, schools, and neighborhoods.
Participants can expect an enthusiastic atmosphere filled with energy as runners and walkers take part in the race along scenic routes around Shorefront Park. The event is rain or shine, ensuring that no matter the weather conditions, everyone will come together for this special day celebrating heroes both big and small.
For those interested in volunteering at the event, there are opportunities to help make a difference by supporting participants throughout the run and walk. Join GiGi's Playhouse Long Island as they strive towards their vision of a world where individuals with Down syndrome are embraced and celebrated within all aspects of society.
