GF Mont Ventoux

The Colnago GF Mont Ventoux takes place on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7, 2026, starting from Vaison-la-Romaine in Provence, France. This legendary cycling event features three gravel routes on Saturday and three cyclosportive routes on Sunday – Granfondo (135km, 3,200m D+), Mediofondo (106km, 2,600m D+), and Piccolofondo – all culminating at the summit of Mont Ventoux, the "Giant of Provence" at nearly 2,000 meters altitude.

Event Logistics and Participant Information:

• Time Cut-offs / Barrières Horaires – Granfondo: KM 44 (redirect to Piccolofondo via Sault from 10:10 AM). KM 80 (redirect to Mediofondo from 12:00 PM). KM 117 (Sainte Colombe) – elimination after 2:00 PM if not passed; participants invited to return to Vaison-la-Romaine without climbing Ventoux via Bédoin/La Madeleine/Malaucène.
• Time Cut-offs – Mediofondo: KM 44 – obligatory to take Piccolofondo toward Sault from 10:10 AM.
• Aid Stations / Ravitaillements – Granfondo: KM 43 (Reilhanette), KM 72.5 (parking on right), KM 118 (Sainte Colombe – foot of Ventoux), KM 131 (Les Ermitants, 200m after Chalet Reynard). Recovery refreshment at KM 6 (Mont Serein station – after finish, not at summit). Fountains at KM 119 (Les Bruns) and KM 132.5 (la Grave).

Route and Atmosphere:

• Granfondo – The Ultimate Challenge: A unique 135km course with 3,200m of elevation gain and 4 major climbs. Ascent of Mont Ventoux is as difficult as it is legendary – considered one of the most demanding ascents in France. A lifelong objective for both beginner and experienced cyclists. The route starts in Vaison-la-Romaine, passing through spectacular gorges and valleys before the final push to the summit.
• Mediofondo – Intermediate Challenge: 106km with 2,600m of elevation gain and 3 climbs. Ascends Mont Ventoux via Sault – the less demanding side (though things get harder after Chalet Reynard). Do not underestimate the Col de l'Homme Mort, which will take significant energy.
• Gravel Routes (Saturday): Three routes designed for gravel bikes to discover the Ventoux region's backroads and landscapes.
• Scenery: Provence lavender fields, the stunning Gorges de la Nesque, AOC Ventoux vineyards, typical perched villages, and panoramic mountain views.
