Frozen Goat Loop Event

Brought to you by North Park Trail Runners. Please review each event's details below.

Run 5, 10, 15, or 20 miles through unique loops within the trails of North Park. This is NOT a race.  This is a fun way to explore North Park and be a part of the trail community. Group up with others or run solo. 

You will have 6 hours to complete 1-4 of the loops. Each loop is different and ~5 miles. Start and Stop at anytime. This is the Goat Loops Event Option.

You can also choose a continuous 20+ miles route. This run begins at 7:15. This is the Full Frozen Goat Event Option.

The terrain for both events is dirt trails with rocks and roots.  The weather could bring cold temps, rain or snow.  Be prepared for mud and/or ice. 

Goat Loops Option

Begin and end each loop from the Ice Rink building.  Loops will be flagged, color coded and mapped. Take an indoor break in-between loops to enjoy pastries, food, and coffee.

Earn one of the following Goat Certificates:

Baby Goat- earned by running 1 loop of your choice

Kid Goat- earned by running 2 loops of your choice

Mountain Goat- earned by running 3 loops of your choice

Frozen Goat- earned by running all 4 loops or running the Full Frozen Goat route

Each Participant will receive a card with the 4 loops(logos).  You will be responsible for marking each loop as you complete it. 

Full Frozen Goat Option

20-25 miles, continuous, self supported and unmarked run with Tim Flaherty.  Please note that the continuous route will follow a different course, will begin at 7:15, will not return to ice rink until the end, and will be close to a 13 minute pace or faster.  All finishers receive a Frozen Goat certificate. 

Return of the G.O.A.T Chili/Soup Cook-Off

Our Frozen Goat cook-off has become a great way to feed our runners and a perfect way to close out the Frozen Goat miles. Runners will enjoy warm chili/soup and vote for the best. Who will be the G.O.A.T of the year?  A prize will be awarded.  We rely on volunteers to sign up for entering a chili or soup.  Please consider signing up for 1 of the 15 entry slots. Sampling/serving will begin at 11:00.

Please note that the supply is limited to what volunteers are willing to bring.  We cannot guarantee a specific quantity.  We encourage participants to sign up, bring a side, bring your own snacks, or order pizza to be delivered if needed.  

Location Details

Check in and starting point for this Event is located on the second level of the North Park Ice Rink.

This is where you will check in after each Goat loop. Maps and Rungo links will be available for each loop. 

Runners can leave personal belongings and coolers in the building.  Alcoholic beverages are allowed.
