Weather Disclaimer - This event will be held with or without snow. However, the Frosty Feet and DCC's Winter Family Fun Day are  subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.

About Snowshoe Running - Snowshoe running is a beginner-friendly way to keep running through the winter. The snowshoes spread your weight so you don’t sink as much, making snowy trails doable while adding a fun strength and cardio boost. If you’re new, start with a relaxed jog/walk and focus on steady, short steps. For intermediate/advanced runners, it’s a great chance to build power and balance—expect effort levels to feel higher than normal running, so pace by breathing and enjoy the winter challenge.

About the Partners

Bold Coast Runners is a Washington County–based running club dedicated to building community through inclusive, welcoming running and outdoor events. From road races and trail runs to snowshoe events, Bold Coast Runners works to make fitness fun, accessible, and connected to the places we love across Downeast Maine and the Canadian borderlands.

Downeast Coastal Conservancy (DCC) is a regional land trust committed to conserving the wild and working landscapes of Downeast Maine while providing opportunities for people to enjoy the outdoors. Through trail stewardship, community events, and environmental education, DCC helps ensure special places like Middle River Park remain protected and accessible for generations to come.

Together, Bold Coast Runners and Downeast Coastal Conservancy are proud to partner on the Frosty Feet Snowshoe run/walk, celebrating winter recreation, community connection, and the shared goal of enjoying and protecting Downeast Maine’s outdoor spaces.
