Freedom Run Backyard Ultra and 5K

The Freedom Run Backyard Ultra and 5K returns to Goodridge, Minnesota on July 24th as part of the annual Goodridge Veterans Freedom Festival. This community-driven event honors veterans by inviting runners and walkers to participate in a family-friendly 5K or take up the challenge of an endurance-style Backyard Ultra race.
The race begins at A.C. Tvedt Park where participants gather for both events, starting with the traditional 7:00 PM kickoff time. The Freedom Run Backyard Ultra offers an additional challenge for seasoned endurance athletes who wish to push their limits over 24 hours, with awards given to those completing this grueling test. Runners participating in either event will gather on Vaughn Main Street East at 6:00 PM sharp. Age requirements are flexible as long as participants can complete their respective distances safely within the race guidelines provided by Goodridge Veterans Freedom Festival organizers.
