Welcome to the Fredsloppet Alingsås, scheduled for October 3rd at Nolhaga Park. This annual race is more than just an athletic competition; it's a heartfelt effort to raise funds and awareness against war and oppression through the support of local organizations.
The day kicks off with activities designed for all ages and abilities. At 10:30 AM, participants can collect their number tags before heading into the park. The fun begins at 11:30 AM with a short 350-meter run specifically tailored for children, though adults are welcome to join in as well. For those aged under 13 years old, there's an additional event starting at noon covering 2.3 kilometers.
At 12:30 PM, three events start simultaneously: the promenade class of 2.3 km, a run for individuals with disabilities (with assistance allowed), and two main races – one over 4.3 kilometers and another stretching to an impressive 8.6 kilometers. The latter race will see timekeeping in place, awarding prizes to the top three finishers.
