Flapjack 5K

Returning to Torbay Velopark in 2027 is the eagerly anticipated Flapjack 5k running race. Set on brand-new tarmac paths laid by Torbay Council, this course offers runners an ideal opportunity for a personal best due to its flat and smooth surface.
The event kicks off with two laps around the Velopark before transitioning into an out-and-back section along the newly paved path. This stretch provides some of the flattest terrain you’ll find in Britain, leading all participants back to the same finish line used during the Donut Duathlon.
Race-goers will enjoy a variety of amenities designed for their comfort and convenience. Each participant receives a flapjack upon finishing, while professional RFID chip timing ensures accurate results. The race route is clearly marked and well-manned by volunteers throughout its entirety. A medal awaits every competitor at the finish line, alongside prizes awarded to podium placings in various categories.
Water stations are strategically placed along the course for hydration support, complemented by on-site event facilities including toilets, medical assistance staffed with fully trained professionals, catering services offering refreshments, and public liability insurance coverage ensuring safety throughout the day.
