FISHKILL FREEDOM 5K FESTIVAL & 1 MI FUN RUN

Join us for  St. Mary’s 5K Color Run/Walk & 1-Mile Fun Run! We are excited to reintroduce this event for the first time post Covid! This is a community-driven event that will  bring together families, friends, and neighbors for a day of fitness, fun, and giving back. Whether you’re an experienced runner or simply looking to enjoy a walk with loved ones, this event is a wonderful opportunity to support a great cause while promoting health and wellness in our community.

Proceeds from the race will directly benefit St. Mary’s School, helping to enhance educational programs and school resources. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, supporting their mission to provide life-saving treatment .

To celebrate our school spirit, a burst of blue and gold powder will fill the air at the finish line. All participants will receive a finisher prize! Lace up your sneakers ! Let’s run for our students, for St. Jude, and for the strength of our community.Let’s Run for a brighter future ! 

The event is held in Rain or Shine and is non-refundable.  

1 MILE KIDS FUN RUN/WALK

is a fun event for parents and children ages 3-12. To celebrate our school spirit, a burst of blue and gold powder will fill the air as participants cross the finish line. Bibs provided to all participants . Professional pictures taken at the finish line will be available for viewing on the website! Participants will receive a finisher prize!

EVENT SWAGS: Register by 4/18 to receive a free St. Mary’s 5K T-Shirt and commemorative award with purchase ! Free ice cream 🍦 by Stewart’s 11:30am- 1:00pm.

Participation awards available. First second and third place trophies available per age group.

Packet Pick Up Info:

Packet pick-up will be held on Friday, May 2nd, 2025. Each participant will receive a paper bib, and T-shirts will be provided to all registrants who signed up before April 18. For those who register after this date, T-shirts will be available while supplies last. Participants are encouraged to pick up their packets before race day to minimize lines and enhance everyone's experience. However, for those unable to do so, packets will be available for pickup on race day between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM.

Those who are still not registered by May 03 may stop by the registration table in the St. Mary’s upper parking lot  to register and pick up a BIB.

PROPER BIB# PLACEMENT
Place your Bib on your CHEST OR ABDOMEN FACING FRONT, Not on your side or your back!
The photos on RunSignUp will be easily searchable by your name or Bib# if your Bib# clearly shows in the photo. So please take your time to have your Bib# displayed for our photographers!

Safety Guidelines: ALL TRAFFIC WILL BE STOPPED DURING BOTH RACE STARTS. Police Department has approved the temporary closure of certain local roads; however, most roads will remain open to traffic during the event. For the safety of all participants, volunteers, and spectators, we ask that you stay on the sidewalks as much as possible. Please exercise extreme caution at intersections and follow the instructions given by our volunteers. Your safety and the safety of our volunteers are our top priorities. 

Children: Parents with small children, please ensure that your children remain on the sidewalks at all times. It is your responsibility to supervise your child. 

Hydration: There will be two water stations available for all participants . One midway along the course as well as at the finish line . 

Post Snack Station : We will have some post-race provisions (possibly bananas, bagels, granola bars, gold fish, bottles of water).  Knives and paper napkins will be provided.

The 1 Mile Kids Fun Run will leave the church/school grounds and travel south on Jackson Street to Florence Avenue.  They will make a right onto Florence Ave. and follow that to Wellesley Place.  They will turn right, go to the end of Wellesley Place, loop around the circle and then follow Wellesley Place and Florence Avenue back to Jackson Street.  They will turn left on Jackson Street and return to the church/school grounds.

The 5K Road Race will leave the church/school grounds and travel south on Jackson Street to Weston Ave.  They will turn right onto Weston Ave, then right on Wood Place followed by a left onto Florence Ave.  They will turn right onto Wellesley and at the end of the road cross a short path onto Wellesley Place W.  The route will then turn right onto Wheaton Ave and follow that to a turnaround point at the end and return down Wheaton Ave until they reach Thomas Ave.  They will turn right onto Thomas Ave. and follow it until a turnaround/water point in the vicinity of Geering Park.  After turning around the runners will follow Thomas back to Whe
