Fighter 5k

On May 16, 2027, the West Norfolk Athletic Club invites runners to experience the scenic beauty of RAF Great Massingham for its annual Fighter 5K race. Held on the historic grounds with permission from Leicester House Farm, this flat and fast course offers a unique running environment along the perimeter track and runways.
Participants will enjoy chip timing, providing instant results upon crossing the finish line. The event raises funds for vital causes such as the East Anglian Air Ambulance, Purfleet Trust, and Great Massingham Football Club. Prizes include cash rewards for top male and female finishers, with first place taking home £40.
Age group winners receive free entry to next year's race, fostering a sense of community among runners. The course is fully run-able on concrete surfaces, making it ideal for setting personal bests. Spectators are welcome but must ensure they keep the airfield clean and tidy during their visit.
The event promises an engaging atmosphere with welcoming refreshments at the finish line and unique military-style patches awarded to all participants. For directions and further details, contact [email protected] or follow signs from King's Lynn or Fakenham towards Great Massingham.
