Feral Nonsense

Feral Nonsense, scheduled for Saturday, November 14th at 8am, invites runners to explore the untamed terrain of Harms Woods North in Morton Grove. This trail race is designed as an exhilarating challenge before winter sets in and everyone retreats indoors.
Choose from three distances: a spirited 3-mile loop, a more demanding 6-mile course covering two loops, or the full 9-mile adventure with three laps around the challenging woodland trails. All participants start together at dawn, embracing the spirit of chaos that defines this event.
Aid stations are strategically placed at the beginning of each lap to provide runners with essential fuel and friendly encouragement as they push through grueling sections of singletrack trail and rugged gravel paths. Race day packet pickup is available from 7:00am to 7:50am, allowing ample time for last-minute preparations before setting off on your adventure.
Feral Nonsense caters to a diverse range of runners, whether you're new to the trails or seeking one final race before winter's chill sets in. The event welcomes all paces and abilities, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels at home regardless of their background or identity.
For BIPOC and LGBTQ+ athletes, free entries are available upon request by emailing [email protected]. These spots aim to affirm belonging within the running community without requiring any additional documentation beyond a simple email inquiry.
