Returning for its fifth year, FEAR (Forget Everything And Run) has found a new home at High Lodge in Thetford Forest near Brandon. This intimate race offers runners various distance options from 5k to an ultra-marathon, all set within the serene and expansive grounds of Thetford Forest. Participants can choose between a traditional loop course or challenge themselves with additional laps for more ambitious distances like the heavy half marathon (standard at five loops) or ultra-marathon (nine loops by default). All runners will embark on a flat and fast forest trail, almost entirely off-road. The route features gentle terrain with minimal elevation gain—just 12 meters over each lap—and is designed to be quick underfoot. The event boasts exclusive use of the main area at High Lodge, offering plenty of open space for an intimate experience. Registration will take place adjacent to Oak Lodge, where runners can also enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and cake upon completion of their race. A water station awaits runners every lap, eliminating the need to carry extra supplies throughout the course. On-site parking is available at a discounted rate of £5 with a QR code for participants. Each finisher will receive a bespoke medal commemorating this special edition event or can opt for a lucky dip selection from previous years' medals if offered as an option. Additionally, 20% of entry fees go directly towards the maintenance and care of Thetford Forest.
