Espoir en Bray - Courir pour Guérir

December 4th marks the return of Espoir en Bray – Courir pour guérir, an inspiring and inclusive charity run that takes place in Neufchâtel-en-Bray. This year’s edition features a flat and accessible 5-kilometer route designed to accommodate runners of all ages and abilities.
The event kicks off at 18:00 with the registration desk opening its doors for participants, allowing them ample time to collect their bib numbers and enjoy pre-race activities such as live entertainment and refreshments. At 19:20, a safety briefing will be held to ensure everyone understands the course rules and guidelines.
The race itself starts at precisely 19:30 with all runners setting off together from La Boutonnière – Impasse de la Boutonnière in Neufchâtel-en-Bray. The course is one continuous loop, making it easy for participants to stay on track and enjoy the supportive atmosphere along the route.
Upon crossing the finish line, runners can partake in a variety of post-race festivities including refreshments, additional activities, and community engagement events organized as part of both the AFM-Téléthon campaign and the 24-hour Sapeurs-Pompiers celebration. The event is non-competitive with no timing involved, allowing individuals to participate at their own pace—whether running or walking—and enjoy a sense of camaraderie among fellow runners.
Espoir en Bray – Courir pour guérir aims to raise funds for the AFM-Téléthon and supports research into rare diseases. With a maximum capacity of 450 participants, this event is open only to those born before December 4th, 2012. Every entry fee collected goes directly towards supporting these important causes.
