Erie to Ohio Road Race

The Ohio to Erie 326 Mile Road Race invites endurance athletes to embark on an epic journey across Ohio from October 7th to October 17th, 2027. This self-supported adventure follows the scenic Ohio to Erie Trail, starting at Edgewater Park in Cleveland and concluding near the banks of the Ohio River in Cincinnati.
Participants will traverse approximately 326 miles through diverse landscapes, passing through numerous communities along the way. The race is designed as a small-field journey event rather than a traditional ultramarathon, with no crews allowed to minimize traffic on trails and reduce strain at access points. Runners are responsible for managing their own food, sleep, and other needs during this 10-day challenge.
The route offers runners stunning views of Lake Erie's shoreline in the north before transitioning into rolling hills and forests as they head south towards Cincinnati. Along the way, participants will experience a range of terrains including urban parks, rural trails, and historic sites that highlight Ohio’s rich heritage.
Entry fees include parking at the finish line, transportation from Cleveland to Cincinnati on October 6th for those utilizing race logistics services, an overnight hotel stay in Cleveland, and extended parking accommodations. Discounts are available for runners who opt out of certain amenities like accommodation or parking.
Upon completion, all finishers will receive a commemorative Erie to Ohio buckle as well as the satisfaction of contributing to trail maintenance efforts through donations from race proceeds. This inaugural edition promises to be an unforgettable adventure for those seeking a unique challenge in one of America’s most diverse states.
