EpicTrails 10km - Doughnot Hill and Lang Crags

EpicTrails invites runners to explore Doughnot Hill and Lang Crags under the moonlight, starting at 7pm from Overtoun House's public carpark in Dumbarton. This nighttime adventure offers panoramic views of the Clyde River as you climb to a summit elevation of 375 meters. The route is a challenging mix of roads, trails, open moorland, and wet bog areas, making it essential for participants to bring an extra pair of shoes.
Guiding this event will be a qualified leader who holds first aid training and insurance coverage. Participants can expect regroupings at various points along the trail to ensure no one is left behind. The pace will adjust according to distance covered and terrain type, ensuring that all runners can enjoy the experience together in manageable group sizes.
For safety reasons, dogs and individuals under 18 years old are not permitted due to insurance restrictions. Mandatory gear includes appropriate footwear for trails as well as a head torch; additional items may be specified based on weather conditions or time of year. Participants without required equipment will not be allowed to join the run.
Proceeds from this event cover operational costs, with any surplus donated periodically to local charities. Please inform us if you are unable to attend and ensure that cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start date do not qualify for a refund.
