Enjoy Your Life Happy Half Marathon & Friendly 5K

The 3rd Annual Enjoy Your Life Happy Half Marathon and Friendly 5k this Spring will be the most fun and exciting race event in the area! The half marathon course is challenging one that weaves its way through three picturesque towns offering you the most beautiful backdrop of farmland, open space, countryside, and a touch of downtown Amesbury, MA. The 5K is beautiful an out and back to everyone's favorite open space - Battis Farm! When you cross that finish line, the after-party celebration will be underway with music, local vendors, healthy snacks, food trucks, beer from Mill 77 Brewery and more! 

Race Date: May 9, 2026

Half Marathon Start Time: 8AM
5K Start: 8:15AM

Location: Heritage Park, Amesbury MA (27 Water Street)

Packet Pickup Party: Friday May 8th from 4-7PM at Riverside Yoga - 3 Graf Rd - Newburyport, MA. *Yes you can pick up for your friends.   

Race Day Registration and Pickup: Starting at 6:45AM - 8AM at Race Site.

Timing: Provided by our race series partner Bay State Race Services.

Half Marathon Course Time Cap: 3.5 hour time cap beginning at 8AM 

Half Course Details: The start and finish is at Heritage Park in downtown Amesbury, and is a loop course that takes runners through Amesbury as well as Newton and South Hampton across the New Hampshire border. The majority of the course is run on paved and tree-lined roads that show off the beauty of the region while providing some shade on the sunniest of days. While the course has some hills, most of the hills are small rolling hills, with one steady incline during the first three miles of the race. Water Stations and Bathrooms: The course will offer 3 fuel stations, at approximately mile 3.5, 8.5 and 10.5. Aid stations will have Gatorade and Water, and there will be an opportunity for an on course bathroom break for the half marathon just before mile 4 in the parking lot of the South Hampton Fire Department.

*There will be no official award ceremony. Awards will be claimed at the black High5EM pop up tent. There will be a picture opportunity there as well! Announcements will be made when you can begin to pick up your awards.

Parking: Limited parking is available on Water St. and in the public parking lot located right at race site. You can find addl. parking just beyond race site by the head of the Amesbury Riverwalk Trail (GPS: 35 Water St) 
Overflow parking can be found in the business lots off Oakland St. which are a short walk to the start and finish area. Parking in the downtown Amesbury area is permitted, just be mindful of any signage that is posted.

Dogs/Strollers: We do welcome dogs and strollers. We do ask that you line up in the back at the start line. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Post Race: Music and entertainment will roll right through 12 o'clock. Healthy snacks, post race beers, vendors and more! If you're heading right out of town, consider swinging by Sylvan Street Grille at some point on the 9th! Our series wide, year long post race pour provider. Choose from their Salisbury or Peabody location, anytime, all day! Just show them your race bib on the day of the event to redeem your much earned, free beer or glass of wine! 

Beneficiaries: Amesbury High School Boosters will be our main beneficiaries for 2026.

Weather: Races are held in rain, snow or shine unless we determine that race conditions are dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend. If the race needs to be cancelled there will be no refunds, but we will do our best to establish a postponement date. That being said, if a postponement date cannot be reached with all involved parties, each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid including other amenities paid for such as t-shirts, insurance, and online administrative fees. All fees collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration.
