Engelsholm Castle Run 2026 invites runners and their families to experience the beauty of Denmark’s countryside during an unforgettable race weekend. Set amidst the picturesque landscapes of Firehøje, this annual event offers two scenic routes: a family-friendly 4.2 km course and a more challenging 10 km trek through winding trails and open roads.
Both distances are designed for all skill levels, featuring gentle undulations that showcase the region’s natural beauty while remaining accessible to runners of various ages and abilities. Participants can enjoy a blend of asphalt paths and forest tracks as they explore Firehøje's charming surroundings.
This year’s event promises an array of exciting features:
- Lucky Draw Prizes: A chance for all participants to win fantastic prizes.
- Speed Awards: Special recognition for the fastest male, female, and child runners on both distances.
- School Competition: Engage in a unique class competition at Firehøje School.
For those interested in additional fun, WOW PARK Billund sponsors the top prize—a day pass to their renowned theme park. The event also includes opportunities to enjoy local food stalls and bars during Firehøje’s Summer Festival, offering grilled delights and refreshing beverages from 5:00 PM until late into the evening.
Registration opens at Nørup Hallen starting at 4:30 PM for day-of sign-ups, with all participants receiving their bibs here. The main event kicks off promptly at 6:30 PM for the longer distance and shortly after at 6:35 PM for the shorter run. Prize distribution will take place around 7:45 PM in a large tent on-site.
All runners are encouraged to park at Firehøje School, where changing facilities and gear storage are available. The race routes are clearly marked with either red or green flags along each course’s path; volunteers also guide participants throughout the run for added security and support.
