Eki'Gesnes : Marathon relais & Trail semi nocturne

On October 31, 2026, Gesnes-le-Gandelin (72130) transforms into the heart of La Foulée Gesnoise with its 14th edition of EKI'Gesnes. The event offers a diverse range of challenges for runners and families alike, set against the backdrop of semi-nocturnal lighting.
The centerpiece is the Marathon Relay in semi-nocturne format, where teams of two or four tackle a 10.6-kilometer course made up of 30% road and 70% trail terrain. This route must be completed four times by each team starting at 4:00 PM.
For those seeking an individual challenge, the EKI’TRAIL offers a unique 25-kilometer adventure with 85% off-road sections and just 15% road running. The course boasts a total elevation gain of 290 meters, providing both scenic beauty and physical demands as participants set out at 4:30 PM.
The event also caters to young athletes through the EKI’POUSS and EKI'JEUNE races designed for different age groups. Youngsters aged between 5-11 years participate in a fun gallop, with distances ranging from 560 meters for Mini-poussins/Mini-poussines up to 3800 meters for Minimes (2012-2013). The races begin at 4:10 PM.
For those preferring a more leisurely pace or interested in Nordic walking, the EKI'PIEDS offers a scenic 12-kilometer walk starting from 2:00 PM. Participants can register on-site between 2:00 and 30 minutes before their departure time for this family-friendly event.
All races are governed by strict safety guidelines to ensure fair play, with participants required to present either an FFA license or a health prevention certificate as mandated by the French law of March 2, 2022. For minors, additional parental authorization is necessary for entry into competition events.
