Ekiden 36 - Marathon en relais - 18ème édition

Experience the thrill of the Ekiden 36 marathon relay race during its 18th edition, set to take place on [date]. This unique competition challenges six runners per team over a full marathon distance—42.195 kilometers. The course is divided into segments: first leg (5 km), second (10 km), third (5 km), fourth (10 km), fifth (5 km), and the final sixth leg covering 7.195 km.
Teams must complete within a strict time limit of 4 hours and 45 minutes, with an additional safety measure in place: if the fifth runner does not finish their segment by 3 hours and 45 minutes, the race will automatically move to the next relay point for that team. This ensures both excitement and fair play.
Registration is available online through Klikego on the official Ekiden 36 website at www.ekiden36.fr or via a downloadable paper form sent with clear instructions. The number of teams is capped at 555, ensuring an intimate race atmosphere. Entry fees are €12 per runner (€72 for a team) until November 1st, 2026; after this date, the price increases to €14 per runner (€84 for a team). For students, entry is reduced: €6 per runner (€36 for a team).
Post-registration changes are not allowed. However, adding participants later can be done by contacting [email protected] with payment details via check or bank transfer.
