From the base of Echo Valley ski area, all distances start down the main road and shortly take a left onto climbing single track. While the grade is gentle, the climb is long and sustained. After the initial long climb, runners are rewarded with amazing views of the Chelan Valley and gentle rolling single track. All distances are single loops with no repeated trails. The course is so much fun that runners might not be ready to be done, with one last small climb before finally arriving back at the finish line.
Endless views toward Lake Chelan and a landscape painted purple and yellow with fields of lupine and balsam root await. The winding, nicely graded trails go on endlessly through ponderosa pine forests. The 50K is a great course for a first-time 50K runner or someone wanting to set a 50K PR time. The 1-mile kids race, camping, and location make it ideal for families.
Camping is available pre- and post-race. Take this time to reboot, decompress from technology, and reflect on the amazing training you have done. The location in pristine wine country offers a retreat from everyday life while enjoying sunshine.
No refunds are issued for races as the vast majority of race costs are incurred prior to race day and are non-refundable. Cancelled or rescheduled races are not refunded. If unable to participate, three options are available with applicable fees: defer entry to the same race the following year (request must be sent before the Friday of race week, i.e., before Thursday at 11:59 PM), transfer entry to another runner (can be done up until start time on race day), or switch entry to another Evergreen event with open registration (request must be sent before the Friday of race week).
Evergreen Trail Runs was founded in 2010 by Roger Michel and Yumay Chang with a vision to create a series of trail races around Washington state. The event continues today as a sister brand to Orca Running, a locally-owned race production company, with a dedication to sustainable race organizing.
Make it a weekend in the pristine wine country of Lake Chelan. Come share an amazing weekend with us. We promise you will head back to work Monday full of heart and strength of mind. Echo Valley has an event for everyone—register before 29 May 2026 to secure your spot.
