Join us on Green Oaks Golf Course for our Third annual fun run/walk 5K!
This year the Divot Dash will be the main Fund raiser for the Art Serafinski Scholarship Fund.
Ypsilanti Township prides itself on being a community of opportunity. It is with that sentiment in mind that the Art Serafinski Scholarship Fund was started. The scholarship named in honor of former longtime director Art Serafinski, has a purpose to provide youth recreation opportunities with our department.
This scholarship is need-based and designed to allow children up to age 17 to participate in our recreation classes and leagues at a discounted rate if eligible. Those eligible will receive 50% off their registration fees and up to $250 in aid per child per calendar year.
You won’t want to miss this family friendly 5k "Fore the Cause" that will be held on Green Oaks Golf Course. The event will be timed by A2 Race Management. Whether you are a competitive runner or just want to get out and walk/run with family and friends, this is the race for you! You will make your way around the course passing fairways, bunkers, ponds and greens. This course is fully enclosed and will be on natural surfaces.
Medals will be given to top 3 finishers in each age category (age breakdown dependent on number of registrations). Will be held rain or shine. You really do not want to miss this event. We will have a DJ on site for an after run celebration.
Race Day Registration opens at 700a with the race starting at 800a
After the race we will have music and Cider/donuts available in the finishing area.
Register early to avoid the price bumps! Pre-Aug 15 = $25, Aug 16-Sept 20 = $30 and after Sept 20 is $35.
Shirts guaranteed for those who register prior to September 20. Shirts for those that register after subject to availability!

Learn more about the host city, Ypsilanti.
Ypsilanti commonly shortened to Ypsi (ĭp′·sĭ), is a city in Michigan, six miles east of Ann Arbor. "Ypsilanti" commonly refers to either or both of the City of Ypsilanti and the Charter Township of Ypsilanti, which lies mostly south of the city, with small portions to both the east and west of the city, and may also include neighboring parts of other townships. The geographic grid center of Ypsilanti is the intersection of the Huron River and Michigan Avenue, the latter of which connects downtown Detroit, Michigan with Chicago, Illinois, and through Ypsilanti is partially concurrent with US-12BR and M-17.
