Dirty South Gravel Race

The Dirty South Gravel Race, set to take place from October 23-25, 2026, is an exclusive cycling adventure limited to just 100 participants. This three-day gravel race traverses the stunning Agulhas Coast and Overberg farmland of South Africa's Western Cape.
Day one begins in Stilbaai’s picturesque Old Harbour, with cyclists riding along coastal district roads before entering private farm lands for a challenging route through rolling hills that lead to Witsand by day’s end. The second stage starts from the serene town of Witsand and features a crossing over the Breë River at Malgas Pont, followed by more gravel tracks and scenic coastline views as riders make their way to Arniston.
The final leg on October 25th winds through Overberg farmland before climbing inland towards Stanford. Each day includes two competitive racing segments where points are awarded based on finish order, adding an element of strategy and camaraderie among the solo racers who enter as part of a team for room-sharing purposes at designated hotels.
Beyond the race itself, participants will enjoy hearty meals, meetups with fellow cyclists, and the chance to unwind in charming coastal towns after each day’s ride. The event also offers a Rotary car shuttle service for those wishing to leave their cars parked securely from start to finish.
