The Death by Staircase Trail Running Festival will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (12 hours) at the Overlook Trailhead parking lot near Moreau Beach at 605 Old Saratoga Road in Moreau, NY. The course is a 3.8 mile loop featuring the rugged "staircase of death" — climbing over 800 feet in less than a mile, then descending steeply and finishing with a fast, runnable couple of miles back to the start. Runners can choose to run solo (as many laps as possible within the 12 hours), join a relay team, or participate in the Fun Run (1 to 3 laps). Runners may start at any time within the window (no new laps after 7:30 PM unless the runner can complete the lap before 8:00 PM).
