De Gilden Oudejaarsloop

The Oudejaarsloop, celebrating its 44th edition, offers runners of all ages and abilities an opportunity to ring in the New Year with a unique running experience. Held on December 31, 2026, this event features several categories including Kidsrun options for children aged 5-8 and 9-12 years old, as well as a competitive Half Marathon.
For those looking for a more leisurely run, the Recreational category offers distances of 3 km to 18 km in increments of 3 km. Participants can choose their own pace, with no need to pre-register specific distances; simply decide how many laps you wish to complete during the event and check your time at the finish line.
The Half Marathon includes a timing chip for competitive runners aiming for precise results under the bruto time system. Competitive participants are advised to position themselves towards the front of the starting pack, while recreational runners should be mindful not to interfere with race conditions.
All registered competitors in the Kidsrun and Half Marathon categories will receive commemorative items upon completion. Early registrants by December 30 can have their first names printed on their bibs; this option is unavailable after that date.
Online registration closes on December 31, though late entries are possible at a higher cost. Participants should be aware of the event's terms and conditions regarding liability for accidents or damages. In case of extreme weather conditions, updates will be posted on the AV Isala '96 website.
