DalesRunner 20km

Conquer the raw, early-season beauty of the Northern Dales at the DalesRunner 20, a challenging 18.3km (11.4-mile) trail race starting from Reeth on Saturday, 28 March 2026. This event is the thrilling, fully-marked introduction to the DalesRunner Series, offering a true fell-running experience on the fringes of classic terrain. The route delivers a formidable first ascent before rewarding runners with spectacular ridge-running and fast, technical descents down historic mining hushes, showcasing rarely visited corners of Arkengarthdale Moor. With around 1,800 feet of ascent on mostly single-track trails, it's a serious test requiring trail or fell shoes and mandatory full waterproof kit. Limited to 200 runners, the event maintains an intimate, community-focused atmosphere with hot drinks and cake at the finish in Low Fremington Village Hall. Registration is now open for this authentic Yorkshire Dales adventure, where stunning views are earned with every steep, memorable climb and descent.
