Crown Z Trail Run

The Crown Z Trail Run returns to Scappoose, Oregon on June 27th for its annual event. This chip-timed race starts and finishes at Ruley Trailhead in Scappoose, a picturesque neighborhood known for its natural beauty. On the morning of the run, participants can expect mild conditions with temperatures around 68°F (about 20°C) and a moderate UV index due to clear skies.
The Crown Z Trail Run offers runners and walkers an inclusive atmosphere as it welcomes all skill levels from beginners to seasoned athletes. The course will take you through the firm yet slightly soft terrain of Ruley Trailhead, winding towards Vernonia before heading back along the same route. This year marks its 8th edition, with thousands participating each time. Proceeds support local scholarships and community causes.

With an elevation gain of about 200 feet throughout the course, participants will enjoy scenic views while navigating through the natural landscape. Registration is open through the Raceroster website at https://raceroster.com/events/2026/117346/crown-z-trail-run with fees of $55.49 for 5K, $66.18 for 10K and $87.58 for half marathon participants. Early registration closes on June 20th.
Participants can pick up their bibs at Ruley Trailhead from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM the day before the race, Friday, June 26th. Bring a photo ID and cash or credit card for payment if needed.
The start location is Ruley Trailhead on NE Scappoose Blvd, next to the Scappoose Community Center. The event welcomes runners of all ages; there are no age restrictions but participants must be at least 18 years old with parental consent for minors. A finisher medal awaits every participant upon crossing the line.
