Starting at the Shoulder of Mutton Pub in Wendover, this iconic event winds through picturesque Buckinghamshire countryside before transitioning onto the historic Grand Union Canal towpath. The race culminates near Little Venice in central London, offering breathtaking views along every step of its scenic route. Participants will navigate diverse terrain including cross-country trails, roads and paths, as well as canal towpaths.
As part of the prestigious Grand Slam series—a quartet of ultra marathons totaling over 180 miles—Country to Capital sets a formidable tone for runners aiming to conquer all four events. The race is designed not only to test endurance but also to celebrate camaraderie and personal achievement, making it an unforgettable experience.
