On November 8, 2026, the Matriz São Judas Tadeu will host a unique and charitable sporting event organized by M8 Runners Training & Events. This race aims to promote physical activity among athletes and community members while raising funds for maintenance and projects at the church. The event takes place in Água Verde, Jaraguá do Sul, Santa Catarina, with participants gathering on Rua Henrique Nagel, 300. The race offers various distances including a 10km run, a 5km option, a shorter 3km course, and a walking route for all ages to enjoy. Additionally, there is a special kids' running category. The day begins with the opening of the event arena at 4:00 AM followed by official warm-ups and technical guidance starting from 5:30 AM. The races kick off promptly at 6:00 AM with staggered start times for each distance to ensure smooth organization. Participants will find hydration stations approximately every 2.5 kilometers along the course, which is clearly marked and measured beforehand. It's important that runners adhere strictly to the designated route; any deviation or shortcuts could result in disqualification. The event includes a ceremony of awards at around 7:30 AM before concluding officially by 8:30 AM. To participate, athletes must collect their race kit which includes a bib number and timing chip from an announced location prior to the day itself. Additional items like official t-shirts may also be included depending on sponsorship. Entry fees vary based on age groups and categories but are all directed towards supporting Matriz São Judas Tadeu's initiatives. A voluntary donation of 1 kilogram of non-perishable food is encouraged upon registration, further enhancing the event’s community spirit. This race promises an engaging morning with scenic views around Jaraguá do Sul, combining fitness and philanthropy in a meaningful way for all participants involved.
