Con Mis Amigos 50K

Con Mis Amigos! It’s happening!

Con Mis Amigos is a 50Kish run that will take participants to north, south, east and west Lincoln…and everywhere in between. Run the whole 31ish miles by yourself or create a relay team*. It’s up to you! This is not a race, it’s a celebration of doing dumb things with your friends. Participants completing the challenge will receive a one of a kind water bottle sticker! 

We will begin at 9:00 AM on June 20, 2026 at the Jane Snyder Trail Center, where you will have 12 hours to run a 31ish mile route around the city and end right back where we started. Along the way, we will stop at 7 different Amigos restaurants for a (required**) snack. You’ll prove you completed the route by presenting your receipts for each location***. 

Have you ever been running and thought “What if I did this while slamming down a cheesy burrito?” Have you ever been eating a delicious crisp meat burrito and thought, “What if I ate this while I ran?” This is the event for you!

The registration fee for this event is $45 (plus whatever you spend at Amigos). Runners will receive a t-shirt and probably a little bit of indigestion. Whatever $ isn’t spent on t-shirts and prizes will be given to an organization in Guatemala that provides resources and housing for people living in a landfill.

There will be prizes for the person who finishes first, the person who finishes last, the person who puts together the largest team and probably just a few folks at random. The prizes will most likely be gift cards for more Amigos.

*Number of team members is unlimited but each team member must run at least one complete leg and eat at the Amigos where they begin AND the Amigos where they end. 

**Runners will be required to consume one menu item at each Amigos to complete the event and acquire the coveted water bottle sticker. One of those items must be a cheesy burrito, one of those items must be a crisp meat burrito. You may choose what you eat at the other five. Runners participating on teams will need to eat either a cheesy or crisp meat at the Amigos where they start and then the other at the Amigos where they finish. Contact race organizer for dietary restrictions requiring special consideration. 

***This is an unsanctioned, non-timed event. There will be no bibs, no tracking, no road closings and no directional signs. You'll be given a route on Google Maps and you'll prove you ran the route by showing your receipts at the end.
