Cohasset Road Race by the Sea 2026 50th Anniversary

The Cohasset Road Race by the Sea celebrates a historic milestone on Sunday, April 12, 2026, marking 50 years as a premier New England spring tradition. Presented by the Cohasset Rotary Club, this legendary event is held in loving memory of Wayne Sawchuk. The race offers a quintessential coastal experience, starting and ending at the Cohasset Town Common. Runners and walkers will enjoy a route that features the Atlantic coastline and scenic views of both the Boston and Minot Lighthouses, the latter of which is famous for its "1-4-3" light pattern.

Anniversary Highlights and Charitable Impact

As the signature fundraiser for the Cohasset Rotary Club, the race operates under the motto "raise money to give it away." Net proceeds support local charities and global initiatives through Rotary International. This year’s 50th edition features a special partnership with the Safe Harbor Cohasset Coalition, which will lead the non-timed walk portion of the event.
