Estevan is known as the "Energy City" due to its significant role in Saskatchewan’s power generation and coal mining industries, with a population of approximately 11,500 residents. As the sunshine capital of Canada, the city enjoys a bright climate that supports a strong outdoor culture. The demographic is primarily White (approx. 85%), with a growing Indigenous community and an increasing number of international residents drawn by the energy and service sectors. Runners can pick up their race packages at Rotary Hall during two sessions: Friday evening from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM or Saturday morning before the race from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
