Welcome to the second edition of the Churfirsten Trail Run, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Toggenburg. This picturesque region is framed by the majestic Churfirsten mountain range and the unmistakable Alpstein peak, offering a stunning blend of natural beauty, rich tradition, and diverse recreational opportunities. The event features an array of challenging yet rewarding trails that cater to all levels of runners. On Saturday, participants can choose from four distances: 5 km, 14 km, 25 km, and the longest stretch at 43 km. Each route offers a unique journey through winding paths lined with lush greenery and panoramic mountain vistas. The shorter routes provide an intimate glimpse into Toggenburg's charming landscapes, while longer runs take runners on more extensive adventures that traverse rugged terrain and steep climbs. All distances showcase the area’s rich cultural heritage and offer plenty of opportunities to soak in its serene beauty. On Sunday, August 30th, a special Kids Run will be organized for young enthusiasts, encouraging future generations to embrace outdoor activities and explore their local environment. About Unterwasser

Unterwasser is a village in the Toggenburg region of the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland, situated at the confluence of the two streams forming the upper Thur. Formerly part of Wildhaus municipality, it has since 2010 been part of Wildhaus-Alt St. Johann by merger of Wildhaus and Alt St. Johann.
It is a relatively small ski resort, and many of its trails are shared with nearby Alt st. Johan.
