Join us at Chollas Lake Park, a unique urban oasis in southeastern San Diego near Lemon Grove. Centered around a scenic one-mile loop trail encircling a historic reservoir built in 1901, the park blends open grassy hillsides, eucalyptus groves, shaded picnic areas, and panoramic neighborhood views. Named for the native chollas cactus, the lake later became part of the city’s park system. Its mix of runnable trails, subtle terrain features, and urban-meets-nature character makes it a fantastic venue for both beginners discovering orienteering and experienced navigators looking for a fast, tactical challenge.
