Children's Heart Foundation West Palm Beach Congenital Heart Walk & 5k

The West Palm Beach Congenital Heart Walk & 5k brings heart families, survivors, and supporters together for a meaningful run and one-mile walk—honoring Heart Angels we’ve lost and celebrating Heart Angels still fighting. Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs) are the most prevalent defect in the United States, affecting 1 in 100 babies.  The Walk & 5k is a family-friendly day of connection, remembrance, and hope, showing that no one faces CHDs alone.  

Event highlights include: All participants registered for the 5k will receive a custom medal and chip timing by AccuChip and refreshments.  After the Run, enjoy Family-friendly activities, crafts, a heartfelt program, remembrance of heart angels, a celebration of heart warriors and our signature walk.  

The Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF) is the nation’s leading organization solely dedicated to funding congenital heart defect research. For over 30 years, our mission is to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research. Everything we do—events, fundraising, partnerships, communications—connects back to research as the catalyst for change.  

History of CHF:  CHF was founded in 1996 by Betsy and Steve Peterson, whose son Sam passed away from complications of a congenital heart defect. Sam’s legacy is our purpose—his story transformed personal loss into a national movement focused on hope, answers, and better outcomes for children and families affected by CHDs.From one family’s determination, CHF has grown into a trusted national organization focused on advancing the science of CHD care.
