Chemo Buddies HOPEFEST 2026: A Celebration of Strength and Community

Join us for the annual Chemo Buddies HOPEFEST, presented by Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, on May 9, 2026, at Central High School football stadium. This heartwarming community event is dedicated to all those touched by cancer—survivors, patients, caregivers, family, friends, and co-workers.

Event Highlights:

5K Run/Walk: Start the day off right with a 5K through the scenic park
Survivor’s Parade: Celebrate our cancer warriors in the signature Survivor's Parade
Hope Walk: Continue the celebration with a fun 1-mile walk
Cruise-In Car Show: Enjoy some cool cars and great company.
Food Trucks: Treat your taste buds to a variety of delicious options.
Kids Activities: Face painting, inflatables, and more for the younger attendees!
This event promises to be a day full of joy, encouragement, and support. Whether you’re walking, cheering, or simply enjoying the festivities, it’s an opportunity to connect, celebrate, and lift each other up in the fight against cancer.

Please note: The event is rain or shine. There are no refunds. Shirts, medals, and other swag are available only as supplies last. Please register before March 20 to ensure you will receive these items!

All 5K, 1-mile walk registrations, and Survivor’s Parade participants will receive a short-sleeved cotton t-shirt!

Can I Walk the 5K?

Yes, just no pets, please!

Do I need to register my child?

Ages 3 and under are free to participate.

Awards

Awards: Overall Male/Female will receive $100 cash prize
Age groups Top 3 Male / Top 3 Female will receive placement awards
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
