About the Event

Chasing Ciara's Light 5K/12K Trail Race invites runners to explore the scenic trails of Great Hollow Lake on Saturday, October 3, 2026. This rain-or-shine event benefits the Ciara O'Driscoll Memorial Scholarship Program and Ciara's Light Foundation, honoring the legacy of a dedicated community member.
The race offers both timed 5K and 12K courses that wind through lush forest trails where nearly all runners will enjoy shelter from the elements under a canopy of trees. The course is sanctioned by USAT&F and designed to be spectator-friendly with numerous spots for friends and family to cheer on participants.
Registration closes at noon on Friday, October 2nd, but latecomers can still sign up between 7:00am and 8:00am the day of the race. Early bib and shirt pick-up is available from 4-6pm on October 2nd at Great Hollow Lake.
The event features a Kids Fun Run starting promptly at 8:15 am, followed by the main races beginning at 8:30 am for both distances. Timing services are provided by The Empire Timing Company to ensure accurate results.
