About the Event

Don’t let the Dreidel get away!

Our life-sized dreidel spins down the streets of St. Pete and the Pinellas Trail on a chip-timed, police-monitored course. Walkers, strollers, runners – all are welcome!

Chase the Dreidel 5K is the only race of its kind: a family-friendly start time of 4pm, t-shirt, fun run for youngsters, free off-street parking, swag bag, custom-designed race medal and – best of all – registration includes our famous all-you-can-eat potato pancake latke supper!

No bicycles or pets, please!

We look forward to seeing you Chase the Dreidel Sunday, December 07, 2025:

2:30pm | Check-in and bib/swag bag pickup opens at Congregation B’nai Israel, 300 58th St. North in St Pete. (There is no early packet pickup or check-in.)
Follow the signs to free parking around the back of the building
3:00pm | Bounce house opens!
$55 on-site registration is available until the race starts so spread the word – last-minute runners welcome!
4:00pm | Welcoming ceremony begins outdoors in front of Cong. B’nai Israel. 4:05 Kids Fun Run
4:15pm | Race begins! Starting line is at the intersection of 4th Ave North and 59th St North. The race finishes in front of the synagogue.
The race will run rain-or-shine. It will be delayed in case of lightening.
Food-only wrist bands are available on site for $10 – no reservations required.
4:45pm | Fun Run for youngsters under age ten.
4:45pm | Latke party begins inside the synagogue social hall with awards presentation.
