Cedro Peak Ultra Marathon

The Cedro Peak Trail Run is an endurance event scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, in the Cibola National Forest near Tijeras, New Mexico. As the original ultra-trail race in the East Mountain area, the event features 50K and 25K distances on a combination of flowy single-track and technical jeep trails. The course winds through ponderosa pine and pinyon forests, offering runners panoramic views of the Sandia and Manzano Mountains. Organized by local runners and volunteers, the race is capped at 300 total participants to maintain a community-focused atmosphere and protect the forest ecosystem.

Tijeras is a village in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, serving as a primary gateway to the Sandia and Manzano Mountains. The current 50K course record was established in 2024 by Joshua Reddish with a time of 3:50:44. The event is a production of Three Peaks Racing, which offers reduced or free future entries to those who volunteer for tasks such as course sweeping or aid station support.
