The Rocky Hill CX Series offers an exhilarating four-week training and racing opportunity for both experienced cyclists and newcomers. Spanning August 26th, September 2nd, September 9th, and September 16th, this series is perfect for those eager to hone their cyclocross skills in a supportive environment. Race days begin at 5:00 PM with a fun, no-pressure practice session hosted by CCAP staff. Licensed junior riders under the age of 18 or middle/high school students can join for just $10; members from registered teams enjoy free participation. This is your chance to get acquainted with cyclocross racing and receive valuable coaching. For those ready to race, the Open CX event kicks off at 6:15 PM on select dates. The course, set in the picturesque Rocky Hill Parks & Rec, challenges racers with a mix of terrain that tests both skill and endurance. While rain may force cancellations due to wet conditions detrimental to the venue’s integrity, rest assured, all participants will be credited for missed events. Volunteers are essential; sign up here to support the event and receive reimbursement on your entry fee. Your contribution ensures the series runs smoothly and safely for everyone involved. USA Cycling licenses are required, though one-day beginner licenses can be purchased for $15 by new or Category 5 riders. Helmets must be worn, and cyclocross bikes or mountain bikes (without bar-ends) are recommended—no BMX bikes allowed on the course. New to cyclocross?
