Castle C'Alf fell race

On October 4, 2026, runners will have the opportunity to explore some of Yorkshire's most breathtaking landscapes during Castle C'Alf. This half-marathon distance race starts at Wadsworth Community Centre and winds through historic Midgley Moor and Warley Moor before reaching its highlight: a spectacular journey across the private grounds of Castle Carr.
The 12km course, which ascends and descends nearly 500 meters in total elevation gain, offers runners an exhilarating mix of challenging terrain and stunning views. Participants will experience steep climbs followed by rewarding descents, making for a dynamic run through varied moorland scenery.
