About the Event

Last Year we added the 5K along with the 10K race and it was a big success so we will continue with the two races this year. If you are signing up for the Le Tour de Carrboro a three race series benefiting Carrboro Area Charities, you will need to choose to do either the 5K or the 10K as part of the series. The Carrboro 10K is 6.2 miles, the Carrboro 5K is 3.1 miles. Both races start at 8 a.m. at McDougle Middle School, wind through Carrboro neighborhoods, and finish on the McDougle track. NOTE: THE 5K RACE IS CAPPED AT 250 PARTICIPANTS SO REGISTER EARLY!

Scenic and regularly decked out in "Carolina blue", Chapel Hill is a lovely college town in North Carolina that makes up the westernmost point of the Research Triangle. The town is the smallest of the Triangle's three cities, with an influence and pull that belies its size. Based around the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the town caters heavily to the local student population, with plenty of bars and restaurants near the university's beautiful campus.
